Mike, Tommy and Kevin take a deep dive into the Mighty Ducks cartoon. After watching the two trailer episodes, they attempt to rehash what they saw and describe a back story that involves enslavement, invisible dinosaurs and terrible Duck puns.

 

Show Notes:

The first three episodes of the cartoon were also combined into a movie called the “First Face Off”. There were 23 subsequent episodes, and they are wild. 

The backstory, again: 

These Ducks all lived on a planet called “Puckworld.” Aliens came to the planet and enslaved the Ducks. A Duck named Drake DuCaine saved everybody using a special duck goalie mask. Later the aliens came back and enslaved Puckworld. Again. 

This time a Duck named Canard Thunderbeak has the mask, which allows him to see the aliens when they put on their invisibility cloaks. Canard recruits the rest of the Mighty Ducks:

-Grin, the big musclely guy who is also a hippie/yogi

-Mallory McMallard — the girl? I’m not sure if she really has a special power other than being the traditional girl in the group.

-Tanya Vanderflock, the mechanical specialist

-Wildwing Flashblade, the new leader

-Nosedive Flashblade, the kind-of loser brother of Wildwing who is still good at things and drives the ship
