Mike and Tommy break down Mighty Ducks Minute No. 47. Gordon Bombay becomes a true father figure, and we see Fulton but the real breakthrough comes from a comment Charlie makes. Did he reveal that he doesn’t trust his mother, due to Casey Conway’s sordid past?
Show Notes
Mighty Ducks Minute No. 83 was the Ducks vs. Hawks staredown. What an epic minute.
Right before the minute starts Charlie Conway says of his dad: “Mom and I left him.” He’s definitely a deadbeat, but did Casey kill him as well?
We talked about Lewis the Mighty Ducks driver way back in 2017 and his weird arrangement with Gordon Bombay, Mr. Ducksworth and Hans.
Thanks to Table_Football for the QuackQuestion via the Discord:
“If there was to be a Minnesota film mashup, what would you pair the Mighty Ducks with? I’d go for Jingle All the Way. It’s that time of year and the thought of Bombay and Howard working together against Reilly and Myron for some reason or another sounds ridiculous but pretty cool.”
We talked about Little Big League in several episodes. The first episode we discussed it in was in July 2020.
Steve Brill talked about the Bad News Bears being the inspiration when we had him on the podcast the first time.
If you want to see the full list of films shot in Minnesota, Wikipedia has you covered.
Here is the Dogma clip that Tommy spoke about:
