(Editor’s Note: Mike forgot the mic he took home to do some recording the #QuackQuestion of the Year, so he had to use an old one. The audio is OK but has some static and isn’t what it usually is.)
Mike, Tommy, and Kevin welcome in #QuackQuestion of the Year winner John to talk about his question regarding turning the Mighty Ducks into a musical and eating at Mickey’s Dining Car before we pass the torch and answer the first #QuackQuestion of 2020. John also drops one of the hottest takes the podcast has ever seen.

Thanks to John for coming on the show and for an incredible #QuackQuestion. Follow him on Twitter: @HighwayHodge
His question one more time: Disney commissions a live theatrical version of “Mighty Ducks” in the style of a Broadway musical that features 8-10 original songs. Assuming the plot & dialogue remains mostly intact, when do the songs happen? Who sings them? What are they called? #QuackQuestion
Our original musical number:
- Opening number with the kids running around from the adult
- Bombay driving out on the ice, kind of like a villainy song
- Bombay on the ice by himself
- Training montage – “You don’t shoot the puck you sail it”
- Banks sad locker room song solo
- Guy and Connie love number
- Winter festival song
- Classroom song from detention
- Final game number
- Final musical number at the very end, the big send off.
These are the character descriptions according to theilluminerdi.com
Adib Samitar/”Sam” is an 11 to 13 year old African American or Somali boy. Sam has mastered skateboard riding and always does things his way. The thrill-seeker rarely turns down a challenge, even deciding to befriend Evan after a violent collision on his trusty board. He joins the squad after realizing that he will be allowed to be a renegade.
Jaden Koobler/”Koob” is an 11 to 13 year old boy, who is said to be heavyset. Koob will never be mistaken for an Olympian, but instead is a hardcore video game player whose skin is pale from long hours of marathon gaming in his downstairs man cave. Though he rarely breaks focus from his monitors, he proves to have an almost superhuman level of dexterity and reflexes that are worthy of a kung-fu master. Koob is wary of joining the squad and will need to be dragged out of his safe space.
Herman Boone died about three weeks ago.
Ryan Gosling dancing:
We talked about who would win a three-sport tournament between the Mighty Ducks, the Little Giants and the Big Green way back in 2017.
The Connie and Guy episode very early on, all the way in 2014.
Duck Call to Mickey’s Dining Car:
We talked with Trindad and Tobago coach Harve Cook in 2016.
Thanks to @Muckasauras for the first #QuackQuestion of 2020.
@QuackAttackPod If Hans/Tibbles can get eligibility for Portman in D2. Why don’t they go after James over Russ? #quackquestion
